Patricia Ugalde Revilla regularly represents clients in international arbitration in complex high-value disputes, particularly in commercial disputes in the construction, engineering and energy sectors. She also has relevant experience in investment treaty arbitration.

She has acted as counsel before the major international arbitration institutions such as the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, DIAC, ADCCAC and the Madrid Court of Arbitration, among others. Patricia also sits as an arbitrator and has acted as administrative secretary of arbitral tribunals in a number of cases.

In addition to her native Spanish, Patricia is fluent in English and French.

Experiência

Represented:

  • A construction consortium in two arbitration proceedings in connection with high value disputes arising from a contract for the construction of an airport in a country in the Middle East.
  • A consortium of international contractors in two wins obtained in two ICC arbitrations against the owners concerning the construction, commissioning and performance of two thermal-solar (CSP) power plants in Africa.
  • A Spanish EPC Contractor in a major victory obtained in an ICC arbitration in Geneva against an electromechanical subcontractor in a project for the construction of a refinery in South East Asia.
  • A Canadian investor in a NAFTA Arbitration under the Rules of ICSID’s Additional Facility, obtaining a win against the United Mexican States in a dispute related to Claimant’s investment in the real estate sector in Mexico (ICSID Case No. ARB(AF)15/2).
