The annual Mayer Brown/Concurrences conference on competition inspections took place on 6 March 2025.
After an overview of the year's news presented by Nathalie Jalabert-Doury, a first panel with Pedro Caro de Sousa, Member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, Jorge Ferreira, Head of the Anti-Cartel Unit of the Portuguese Competition Authority, Josh Sherer, Head of Competition Law at HSBC, and moderated by Vivien Terrien, Vice President of the French Competition Authority, was dedicated to the issues and perspectives related to the extraterritorial dimension of competition investigations.
A second panel, moderated by Nathalie Jalabert-Doury, focused on adapting investigative powers to the digital age and brought together Alexis Brunelle, rapporteur at the French Competition Authority, Brian Cullen, member of the Legal Service of the European Commission, Anouk Falgas, Group Head of Antitrust at Saint-Gobain, Pedro Hinojo, Head of Information Society Services at the CNMC and Florent Picart, Senior Manager Forensic at Deloitte France.
