Overview
Admitted to the Paris Bar, Benjamin Homo is a partner in the Paris office and is co-head of the firm’s global Tax practice.
He focuses his practice on advising private equity clients and multinational groups on their acquisitions, mergers and reorganizations and has developed an extensive experience of multi-country transactions. He assists clients on all aspects of the transaction, from tax due diligence to structuring work, including financing matters and management incentives.
In his work on such transactions, Benjamin analyzes, develops, and manages complex financial models that allow him to translate multi-jurisdiction tax advice into cash flow simulations, helping clients understand and analyze with their own tools and language the consequences of cross-border taxes on the economics of the transaction.
Experience
Recent or pending deals in which Benjamin Homo was involved include:
- Advised Sabena Technics on the acquisition of Héli-Union.
- Advised a foreign investor on its acquisition of a minority stake, alongside Latour Capital, in the holding company of the Pharmacie Lafayette group (Hygie31), a network of pharmacies.
- Advised European Camping Group (ECG) and its management, backed by PAI Partners, in the acquisition of Vacanceselect, a campsite and mobile-home operator, from Permira.
- Advised the management of Ayming in the structuring of the takeover of their group alongside a new minority investor, EMZ.
- Advised Bridgepoint Development Capital in the merger of its portfolio company, Private Sport Shop, with SportPursuit Limited, a UK based e-commerce sports retailer.
