Mayer Brown partner Grace Shie was named a 2023 “Woman Worth Watching in Leadership” by Profiles in Diversity Journal. The award recognizes the “dynamic women who are using their talents and influence to enhance the workplace and change our world,” according to the publication.
Based in Washington DC, Grace leads the Global Mobility & Migration practice. She advises multinational companies on their global mobility programs, including in the areas of talent acquisition, employee mobility across jurisdictions, and immigration compliance.
Grace is a champion of women and Asian American and Pacific Islander representation in the legal industry. She chairs Mayer Brown’s Women’s Leadership Committee, where she drives recruitment, retention and promotion of women lawyers nationally. In May 2023, Grace conceptualized and hosted the firm’s first-ever joint Diversity Retreat in partnership with a firm client—a diversity, equity & inclusion innovation that centered on building community.
