Member of the Paris, Madrid, New York and Caracas Bars, Gustavo Mata Morreo is counsel in the International Arbitration practice of the Paris office.
Gustavo represents clients in commercial and investment arbitrations arising from different economic sectors and industries, namely energy and constructions projects and commercial agreements. He has acted as counsel in over a dozen international arbitrations conducted under the ICSID, ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, CIAM rules.
Gustavo joined Mayer Brown in 2024. Previously, he was an attorney at a top-tier International Arbitration groups in Madrid and New York and Caracas.
In addition to his native Spanish, Gustavo speaks English and French.

- ICSID Case No. ARB/21/23: represented claimants in an investment treaty arbitration under the Turkey-Turkmenistan BIT and the ICSID Convention. Imeks Insaat Makina Elektrik Konstrüksiyon Sanayi Limited Sirketi v. Turkmenistan.*
- ICSID Case No. ARB/21/57: represented claimants in an investment contract arbitration under the ICSID Convention. Metro de Lima III v. Peru.*
- ICSID Case No. ARB/21/41: represented claimants in an investment contract arbitration under the ICSID Convention. Metro de Lima II v. Peru.*
- ICSID Case No. ARB/18/25: represented claimants in an investment treaty arbitration under the ECT and the ICSID Convention. Itochu Corporation v. Kingdom of Spain.*
