The Future of the European FDI Screening Regulation

'Transparency, harmonisation, competitiveness'. These are some of the words highlighted by the fantastic panel at Mayer Brown’s event in Brussels to describe the aim behind the European Commission’s proposals to reform the FDI Screening Regulation. This was the first event to an outside audience following the Commission’s announcement of the proposals, which mark a significant step in a landscape where transactions are not only subject to FDI screening but may also undergo complex merger control reviews and be subject to the new FSR regime.
