Mayer Brown advised on a transaction that was named “Financial Services Deal of the Year” at The Deal’s 2020 Middle Market Awards. The winning transaction is:

CoreVest Management and Fortress’ sale of CoreVest American Finance to Redwood Trust:
Mayer Brown represented Redwood Trust in the $490 million acquisition of CoreVest American Finance Lender LLC, a leading nationwide originator and portfolio manager of business-purpose residential loans, from Fortress Investment Group LLC and certain management holders. The team was led by Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement partner Lauren Pryor (Washington DC).
