In 2019, Mayer Brown achieved a victory following a nine-day jury trial in Houston federal court for Weldbend Corp. in its complaint challenging foreign competitor Ulma Piping‘s false advertising and unfair competition of carbon steel flanges. The jury rendered a unanimous, multi-million dollar verdict for our client and the court subsequently entered a permanent injunction against Ulma and ordered a product recall.
