Mayer Brown advises Beazley plc on £350 million institutional placement, subscription and retail offer

London — Mayer Brown advised FTSE 250 company Beazley plc on a £350 million ($422 million) equity fundraise on the London Stock Exchange, alongside an additional retail share offer.

The institutional placing was conducted by JP Morgan Cazenove and Numis. The equity raise is to support organic growth and to fund attractive underwriting opportunities, particularly in cyber and specialty classes of business.

The team was led by Corporate & Securities partners Colin Scagell and Beccy Bothamley and included associate Alexander Sperling and Banking & Finance partner Robert Flanigan.
