"They are really trying hard to get it finalized by January 2024 so banks have a year to put it in place," says Matthew Bisanz, a partner in the financial regulatory team at law firm Mayer Brown. "Typically, you would want at least six months for a proposal to be out for comment and then to make revisions to it, so I'm really hoping they get it done by June."
