Tauil & Chequer Advogados represents Consórcio Walks in bidding for public lighting in the city of São Paulo
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown represented Consórcio Walks in a victory obtained before Brazil’s Superior Court of Justice (STJ), which ruled in favor of the client’s readmission in a bidding process for public lighting in the city of São Paulo for a R$ 7 billion contract.
The 1st Panel of the STJ recognized that the reasons for the exclusion of Consórcio Walks were illegal, and also withdrew a ruling by the São Paulo Court of Justice that had determined a new bidding process, since this issue had not been requested by the parties.
The team was led by partner Mauro Pedroso, with the participation of partners Luís Adams, Bruno Werneck, and Eduardo Lima, counsel João Luiz Cople, associates Louise Dias, Caio Thomé, Maria Rita Dutra, Juliana Deguirmendjian, Julio Barboza and Ingrid Pistili.
