Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento on its first financing after privatization
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Companhia de Saneamento Riograndense (Corsan) on its new financing of R$ 1.5 billion, structured through its fifth issuance of debentures. This was the first financing contracted by Corsan since it was privatized at the beginning of the year. At that time, the firm also advised on the privatization and acquisition finance process.
The public offering was coordinated by Bradesco BBI, BTG, Citibank, IBBA, Santander and XP, five of the largest banks in Brazil. The funds raised will strengthen Corsan's cash position and will also be used to fulfill part of the company's investment program.
Partner Luis Montes led the team that included associates Beatriz Lavigne and Marcella Castellano, all from the firm's Banking and Finance practice.
