Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown and Mayer Brown New York advised ENGIE Brasil Energia on the acquisition of five photovoltaic complexes from Atlas Renewable Energy in Brazil, concluded last Wednesday (06/03) and worth R$ 3.24 billion.

The assets located in Bahia, Ceará and Minas Gerais total 545 MWac of installed capacity and have 66% of their commercial capacity allocated to the Regulated Market and 34% to the Free Energy Market.

In 2015, ENGIE decided to exit coal-fired power plant operations and, with the conclusion of this operation, it has invested a total of R$ 22 billion in its energy transition, including clean energy and the implementation of transmission lines, contributing to the sustainability of the Company's results.
