Kathryn Civitello Angel

Kate Civitello Angel is a staff attorney in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office and a member of the Consumer Financial Services group. Kate’s practice focuses on representing mortgage lenders and servicers, banks and consumer finance companies on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, enforcement and litigation matters.

During law school, she was a member of The George Washington University International Human Rights Clinic where she worked with EarthRights International to advocate for a US National Contact Point to support the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Through her work with the Council for Court Excellence, Kathryn assisted in advocating for reentry facilitation for previously incarcerated persons in the District of Columbia.

After law school, Kathryn participated in two of GW’s post-graduate programs - the Road to the Future with The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, followed by the Pathways to Practice with Conflict Risk Network.
