Sofia B. Orelo

Sofia Orelo is an associate in Mayer Brown's Chicago office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Sofia represents clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters, including labor and employment, antitrust, internal investigations, and complex electronic discovery.

She provides counsel to employers on a wide range of issues, especially with regard to labor and employment law, and has defended employers in discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes.

Sofia has dedicated substantial time to pro bono matters related to immigration and prisoner’s rights. She recently secured asylum for an Honduran woman and her daughter on the ground that the woman was targeted by a gang for witnessing a gang murder.
