Key Persons in Control Functions: Refresher Training on Duties and Responsibilities

Hong Kong insurance team partner TL Lim and counsel Jenny Yu delivered a webinar on “Key Persons in Control Functions: refresher training on duties and responsibilities" to a famous insurance company on 27 August 2020. Jenny started the presentation with section 13AE(12) of Insurance Companies Ordinance Cap. 41 and discussed the competence requirement for the key person and explained how control functions are crucial to an effective corporate governance. TL supplemented the presentation by referring to matters and cases he was involved in. Jenny then closed off the presentation by highlighting a number of guidelines issued by the Insurance Authority.
