New Jersey Announces Second Offshore Wind Solicitation for up to 2400 MW

On September 9, 2020, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) announced a second solicitation for up to 2400 MW of offshore wind. This solicitation was foreshadowed in February in New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s announced goal of 7,500 MW of offshore wind energy in New Jersey by 2035.

The NJBPU also approved a 510-page New Jersey Offshore Wind Strategic Plan and had previously exposed for comment a 117-page draft guidance document in July.
