Hong Kong cuts IPO settlement time

Corporate & Securities partner Jason T. Elder is quoted in IFR discussing Hong Kong's launch of Fast Interface for New Issuance or FINI, a cloud-based platform that allows IPO market participants and regulators to manage the settlement process for new listings and shortens the time gap between pricing and trading. FINI will go live in October.

“Efforts to shorten the listing time in Hong Kong will be well-received, particularly by issuers," says Jason. "Getting a deal to market more quickly enables better planning for market conditions, less time away from a focus on business operations and greater certainty over the process, each of which improves the process for issuers,” he explained.
