Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

Shout out to a Mayer Brown team led by Gary Hnath and Bryan Nese who have represented Autel Intelligent Technology Corp. in patent litigation brought by Orange Electronic Co. in the Eastern District of Texas over tire pressure monitoring technology. After a Marshall jury hit Autel with a $6.6 million damages verdict last year, Chief U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap held last month “that substantial evidence does not support the jury verdict that an infringing sale occurred in the U.S.” The judge entered a judgment of non-infringement for Autel last week. The Mayer Brown team also includes partner Tripp Fussell and associate Clark Bakewell.
