Mayer Brown advises FARM Rio on its Expansion in the Middle East
Dubai – Mayer Brown advised FARM Rio in the opening of its first store in the Middle East and its strategic distributorship arrangement with the Chalhoub Group.
Farm Rio is a vibrant sustainable women's clothing and lifestyle brand in Brazil. Farm Rio began their global expansion in 2019 with the opening of their flagship boutique in SoHo, New York.
The brand now has four additional US boutique locations: Miami, Venice, West Hollywood, and Brooklyn (opening later this year). They also have four locations in Europe (Paris, London, Mykonos, and Bodrum).
Chalhoub Group is a partner and creator of luxury experiences in the Middle East, with a portfolio of eight owned brands and over 300 international brands.
The Mayer Brown team was led by Dubai's office Managing Partner and Global Chair of Middle East Practice Tom Thraya and included Tax partner Flavia Cavalcanti (Rio de Janeiro) and Corporate associate Nanda Al Qazaz (Dubai).
