Tauil and Chequer Advogados Advises Itau BBA on EDP Espirito Santos BRL 500 Million Debenture Issuance
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown acted as legal counsel to Itaú BBA, as lead coordinator, in the public offering of debentures issued by EDP Espírito Santo Distribuição de Energia S.A., totaling BRL 500 million.
The proceeds from the issuance will be used for the expansion, renewal, or improvement of the electricity distribution infrastructure in Espírito Santo, in accordance with Law 12,431 and Decree 11,964. The funds will also cover future payments of expenses and debts related to the project and reimburse eligible costs or debts incurred within 24 months from the Closing Notice, as detailed in the Issuance Deed.
The team was led by partner Luis Otero Montes, with the support of associates Julia Zarth and Yasmin Rópa, all from the Banking and Finance practice.
