Tauil & Chequer Advogados advised Gerdau on a BRL 300 million project financing between its subsidiaries and Banco do Brasil

Tauil & Chequer Advogados associated with Mayer Brown advised Gerdau on a financing transaction totaling BRL 300 million, intended for the project of its subsidiaries UFV Barro Alto V, VI, and VII, with Banco do Brasil. The transaction was facilitated through funds from the Fundo de Desenvolvimento do Centro-Oeste (FDCO) and received approval from the Superintendência de Desenvolvimento do Centro-Oeste (SUDECO).
The net proceeds obtained will be used for the implementation of the Barro Alto Photovoltaic Complex, located in Vila Propício, Goiás, reinforcing Gerdau's commitment to the energy transition and sustainable development in the region.
The transaction was led by partner Rodolfo Tella and involved associates Camilla Hehnes and Stephanie Carmo, all from the Capital Markets and Securitization practice, as well as associates Julia Zarth and Yasmin Rópa, both from the Banking and Finance practice.
