Shantelle LaFayette advises clients on patent litigation, trademark enforcement, and IP due diligence matters, particularly as related to the life sciences industry.

Shantelle previously practiced law at another prominent international firm, where she maintained a diverse IP litigation practice that touched on patents, trademarks, and damages issues. She also completed a secondment in the legal department of a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation, where she gained experience with commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property matters related to the innovative pharmaceutical industry.

Before attending law school, Shantelle earned a Ph.D in Microbiology and Immunology and a M.Sc in Molecular Genetics. Her academic research has focused on immune responses to chronic bacterial lung infections and the role of cellular stress signaling in antimicrobial drug resistance and tolerance.
