Maura K. McDevitt

Maura has significant experience leading and coordinating all aspects of complex litigation at all stages of a case, including written motion practice, fact and expert discovery, and trial preparation in both bench and jury trials, including pre-trial submissions, dispositive motions, motions in limine, witness preparation, direct and cross-examination outlines, and proposed jury instructions and verdict forms.

Maura maintains an active pro bono practice at Mayer Brown. Recent successes include securing the highest compensable rating for a service-connected disability appeal before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals and the issuance of a nationwide preliminary injunction against the Trump Administration’s immigration fee waiver rule.

Maura joined Mayer Brown in 2015, after earning her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was awarded the Parker School Certificate of Achievement in International and Comparative Law, and spent six months at the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Sciences-Po Paris where she studied European Union law, international litigation and arbitration, and competition law.

Maura was previously seconded to the litigation and enforcement divisions of two international financial institutions, Credit Suisse’s General Counsel Litigations and Investigations Group and HSBC’s Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement Group, where she worked on a variety of civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters.
