Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

Shout out to a team at Mayer Brown that helped client Nestle S.A. in a case where the Swiss company was accused of conspiring with other makers of infant formula to restrain the supply of store-brand formula in the United States. U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon in Brooklyn this week granted Nestle’s motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction and found that allowing any jurisdictional discovery would be “akin to a fishing expedition.” The Mayer Brown team includes partners Carmine Zarlenga and Oral Pottinger and associate Kate Bleicher.
