Rafaela Martins Marsola

Rafaela Martins Marsola has worked in the environmental area since 2019. She has experience in providing legal advice in administrative and judicial processes relating to environmental matters. Rafaela also assists in structuring, reviewing the terms used in merger and acquisition operations, and analyzing documentation related to the environmental aspects involved in the project. She has experience in providing legal advice to clients in different segments such as infrastructure, energy, mining and services.

• Represented one of the largest mining companies in the world (Samarco Mineração Ltda, in judicial recovery), in judicial and administrative proceedings related to the Failure of the Fundão Dam in Mariana that occurred in 2015;
• Represented Bayer S.A. in environmental and regulatory administrative proceeding related to the regularization of pesticide sales and other issues;
• Participation in the analysis of environmental aspects in the due diligence regarding the creation of a joint venture between ArcellorMittal Brasil and Casa dos Ventos;
• Participation in the analysis of environmental aspects in the due diligence regarding the operation for the acquisition of 35% of Casa dos Ventos by Total Energies.
