Lex Anglo-Brasil, CIArb Brazil Branch, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and Pontificia Universidade Catolica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) host their first Arbitration Summit during São Paulo Arbitration Week, intending to assess the key takeaways of the last 25 years of two major instruments of international arbitration.
The English Arbitration Act (1996) came into force in early 1997 and the Brazilian Arbitration Law, in late 1996. What has worked so far? What could be (or is already being) changed? Are further reforms truly needed? Expect to hear from experienced and upcoming academics and practitioners from both the UK and Brazil.
Mayer Brown will be hosting this in-person only event in London, and Siqueira Castro will host in Sao Paulo.
