Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises BNDES on the non-recourse project finance for Via Brasil MT-246

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown provided legal advice to BNDES on the non-recourse project finance for Via Brasil MT-246 Concessionária de Rodovias S.A, a special purpose entity controlled by Conasa, for the issuance of incentivized debentures totaling R$ 150 million.
In addition to the debentures, BNDES signed a FINEM financing agreement with Via MT 246 totaling R$ 280 million. The funds obtained through the transaction will be used for the recovery, improvement, expansion, and usage of the road sections granted to the company in Mato Grosso, totaling 233.2 km for the flow of grain produced in the country.
Partner Luis Montes led the operation with the support of associates Beatriz Lavigne and Marcella Castellano, all from the Banking & Finance practice.
