New York – Mayer Brown is pleased to announce the appointment of Allison Aviki as the new Managing Partner of its New York office. Allison's appointment is effective immediately and marks a significant milestone in the firm's ongoing commitment to leadership excellence and client service.

Allison is a trial lawyer in Mayer Brown’s award-winning Intellectual Property (IP) practice, who has represented clients in successfully litigating and resolving IP and other high-tech disputes in courts and Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings across the country. She regularly advises companies in streaming, software, media, and consumer products industries at the vanguard of law and technology.

“We are thrilled to have Allison step into this important leadership role,” said Mayer Brown Chair Jon Van Gorp. “Her deep understanding of our clients’ needs, combined with her legal acumen and leadership skills, make her the ideal choice to lead our New York office. We are confident that under her guidance, the office will continue to thrive and deliver outstanding service to our clients.”

In addition to her litigation practice, Allison will now oversee the strategic direction and operations of the New York office, ensuring that it continues to provide top-tier legal services and innovative solutions to clients. She will also focus on promoting professional development and driving the firm’s growth initiatives in the region. This appointment comes at a time of significant expansion for Mayer Brown’s New York office, which recently announced it will be enlarging its New York footprint by roughly 75,000 square feet to accommodate its growing team and client base. This expansion underscores Mayer Brown’s commitment to providing market-leading client services while fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

“I am honored to take on this new role serving our exceptional team in New York,” said Allison. “Mayer Brown has a long-standing reputation for excellence, and I look forward to building on this legacy by supporting the professional growth of our colleagues and continuing to deliver unmatched value to our clients.”

Allison replaces Matthew Ingber, a distinguished litigation partner who successfully led the New York office for six years. Matt has recently been appointed as a member of Mayer Brown’s Management Committee.

Allison's announcement is part a series of strategic leadership appointments at Mayer Brown, including the recent appointments of Joanna Horsnail as the office managing partner of the Chicago office, Aaron Murdock as the office managing partner of the Salt Lake City office, and Andrew Olmem as the office managing partner of the Washington DC office. These appointments reflect Mayer Brown's commitment to nurturing leadership talent and ensuring the firm's continued success across its international offices.
