Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Águas de Manaus on its R$ 320 million financing

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown provided legal advice to Águas de Manaus, a special purpose entity controlled by Aegea, on its new financing structured through a 6th debenture issuance, totaling R$ 320 million.
The public offering was distributed and placed by BTG, IBBA, and Citi. The net proceeds from the issuance will be used to maintain the provision of public water supply and sewage services in the municipality of Manaus, as well as to strengthen cash reserves and manage the company’s ordinary business operations, including but not limited to, asset and liability management.
Partner Luis Montes led the operation with the support of associate Beatriz Lavigne, all from the Banking and Finance practice.
